Motivation for the next 3 weeks...

Well, week 1 is over of Pair & Marotta's Hi-5 FitCamp. use that as a springboard. Realize you are one week closer to your goals. Stay motivated to work towards your goals.

My motivation is my family; my wife, daughter, brothers, parents. These might be similar to yours, but there are often others.

The big question is, are you 4 days closer to your goals? Speaking of which, what ARE your goals for this 4 week period?

If you are unclear, write them down, articulate them so they are clear. Not every goal has to be about exercise.

Some that have already been discussed are:

  • Giving up soda for the next 4 weeks
  • Buy 8 apples and 8 bananas and eat one of each per day for the next week
  • Eat breakfast every day
  • Drink 1 liter of water per day
  • Eat more frequently
As for exercise goals, the biggest goal is just to try and make it each and every day. The reason I say this is because when you miss once, it makes it much easier to miss a second time. Usually after two or three consecutive days of missing, the person will not come back.

You DO NOT want to fall into that trap.

This weekend, get out and do something. It does not have to be traditional exercise. Go for a swim, a walk in the park or hiking in the hills. Just do something. Be proactive with your health!!

Motivation can be hard to find. Some find it deep inside, others from outside sources. Find out what motivates you and write it down, tell somebody or take a picture.
